Under the Ministry of Health .. Sinai cement, Cairo Festival City and Swvl launch an expanded vaccination campaign against the fifth cluster virus
In the framework of supporting the efforts and plans of the Egyptian state to reduce the spread of the emerging Corona virus pandemic, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Population, the Sinai Cement Company, in cooperation with the "Al-Futtaim Real Estate Group" and the company "Swvl", organized an expanded campaign to vaccinate 15 thousand citizens, from the New Cairo area, at the campaign headquarters in Cairo Festeval City in the fifth gathering.
By organizing this initiative, the Three Companies Alliance aims to support the country's efforts to end the pandemic and to contribute to additional places for vaccination. The Sinai Cement Company has been in contact with the Ministry of Health and entered into a cooperation agreement for the implementation of the campaign. It took the initiative to invite Cairo Fistaval City, who has allocated space to host the campaign and has also rehabilitated the area through the installation of a medical tent and the necessary equipment. Sinai Cement will directly administer the campaign and provide transportation to and from the campaign headquarters.
A delegation from the Ministry of Health and Population, headed by Zeinab El Nagar, Director of the New Cairo Medical Area, and Amira Ismail, Director of Preventive Medicine in the New Cairo Region, went to the campaign headquarters to monitor the vaccination operations and ensure that vaccines were available.
For his part, Tamer Magdy, Managing Director of Sinai Cement Company, praised the efforts made by the state to reduce the spread of the Corona pandemic, stressing that the political leadership succeeded, through its strong relationship with the countries of the world, in providing all types of vaccines to the Egyptian people, but we are fully aware that the challenge is still great, so we thought that we would contribute to supporting these efforts to reduce the burden on the government as much as we can, explaining that the company contacted the Ministry of Health and entered into a cooperation agreement with it to implement an expanded campaign to vaccorate citizens in the New Cairo region.
Magdy stressed that the Sinai Cement Company places community service at the top of its priorities, especially with regard to citizens' health. The company has provided all the logistical elements necessary for the success of the campaign, including computers and trained teams of young people to assist citizens in recording their data on the website of the Ministry of Health. As well as providing campaign signage and guidance signals. He pointed out that as soon as the company presented the idea of the campaign to both the Al-Futtaim Real Estate Group and the Swvl Participatory Mass Transfer Company, the two companies agreed to participate in it.
For his part, Eng. Ashraf Ezz el-din, Managing Director of Futtaim Real Estate Group, affirmed the commitment of Futtaim Real Estate Group to its active role and societal responsibility in the service of all Egyptians, saying: "The group pays special attention to vital sectors that directly affect humans, foremost among which is the health sector." Emphasizing the importance of concerted efforts by all institutions under the current exceptional circumstances, so the group initiated in cooperation with Cement Sina and Swvl to launch an expanded vaccination campaign to combat the Corona virus.
Ezz el-din added: "This voluntary campaign targeted all our employees, workers, relatives, clients living in the housing complex, employees of companies located inside Cairo Festival City, and our partners of contracting companies and other institutions surrounding the project headquarters. All of these will be vaccinated as part of the campaign, in addition to any other citizen who wants to receive the vaccine against the Corona virus; It is under the auspices and supervision of the Egyptian Ministry of Health." The Cairo Festival City administration has spared no effort to provide the necessary resources, Spaces, equipment and follow-up, in order to facilitate the conduct of the campaign in an excellent and professional manner and to serve the vaccinators as fully as possible.
In the same context, Khaled El-Sayed, head of the corporate sector in Swvl, Egypt, and Africa, said for participatory mass transport that confronting the spread of the Corona virus and reducing the number of infections is a national task that requires accelerating the receiving of the vaccine, and expanding the vaccination centers to meet the growing demand for the vaccine, which calls for the solidarity of all relevant parties, civil society organizations, and the private sector, pointing out that Swivel is trying to make more efforts in supporting the Egyptian society and assuming its role as an active company in supporting the state's plan to vaccinating all This is why we took part in the initiative to launch the Vaccination Centre in full cooperation with Sinai Cement and Cairo Festeval City and to ensure that transportation is available to citizens from all parts of Cairo.
Dr. Zeinab Al-Nagar, Director of the New Cairo Medical District, also confirmed that she received all the support from the Health Directorate sector in Cairo Governorate, headed by Dr. Mohamed Shawqi, and Dr. Iman Haroun, Undersecretary of the Health Affairs Directorate in Cairo Governorate, in terms of providing medical staff and providing different types of vaccines, and thanked the three companies, and praised their efforts in making the campaign a success. Hoping that other private sector companies will follow suit, stressing that the private sector is a key partner and that initiatives aimed at supporting the state's efforts are one of the important solutions that can contribute to meeting the major challenges and burdens placed on the state and the Egyptian government, especially in the area of health services provision.
