Khaled Hamed: Egypt is the cheapest tourist destination in the world for Europeans
Today, the Dykmassan International Diving Exhibition kicked off in Gothenburg, Sweden, from March 18 to 19.
Egyptian companies participate in the exhibition within the framework of promoting the Egyptian tourist destination through various and distinguished tourism products, especially those related to diving in different tourist markets, said Khaled Hamed, Vice-Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Egyptian African Businessmen Association.
He added that Egypt was able to return to the tourist market with steady steps after it stopped during the Corona crisis.
He pointed out that the northern European markets, which are represented by "Noreg, Denmark and Sweden", are classified as the second largest markets in Europe despite the small population compared to other markets.
He stressed that Egypt is the cheapest tourist destination in the world for Europeans, and noted that Europe will remain an important source of tourist arrivals to Egypt. The growth rate in the volume of incoming traffic from Europe reached about 75% in 2022, after the arrival of 4.9 million tourists, compared to 2.9 million in 2021.
