Wael Farhat: The delay in price spreads is one of the most important challenges facing the contracting sector

Wael Farhat

In the coming period, the government must expedite the disbursement of compensation and price differentials, which are among the major challenges facing the contracting sector in the coming period, said Wael Farhat Chairman of the Board of Directors of Apex Contracts.

Farhat stressed that the rapid payment of compensation and price differentials preserves the rights of companies from increasing prices in the materials of construction, thus threatening the sector's ability to continue to play its roles, which calls for urgent action to expose these problems to decision makers to preserve the vital sector, as contractors are one of the most important sectors that affect job creation and drive development in many productive sectors.

He also added that one of the biggest challenges facing medium-sized construction contractors is the lack of liquidity of cash. Unlike large companies, these small companies often lack sufficient resources to maintain a constant cash flow and to overcome those past problems to help them rise and participate in the building of our new destiny.
