Cred Rewards Egypt's 2024 Olympians with Generous Incentives


Cairo, Egypt, 28 August 2024: His Excellency, the Minister of Youth and Sports has witnessed the celebration organized by the pioneering real estate company, Cred to honor Egypt's champions from the athletes participating in the Paris 2024 Olympics. With the presence of Eng. Ahmed Mansour, the CEO of Cred, and Eng. Yasser Idris, Head of the Egyptian Olympic Committee as well as the presidents of the Modern Pentathlon, Weightlifting, and Shooting federations, and the heads of the groups and the sports care team, in addition to senior officials of the ministry and Cred, and many journalists and media figures.


This recognition comes as part of a cooperation protocol signed last year between Cred and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, aiming to support Olympic athletes and provide them with the necessary support to qualify for the Olympics, in addition to sponsoring 5 athletes participating in the Paris 2024 Olympics. The protocol also includes financial rewards for any athlete who wins a medal during the competition.



During the ceremony held at the Dusit Hotel, 5th Settlement, the top three winners of the Olympic medals were awarded substantial financial Awards in recognition of their outstanding efforts and achievements over the past period and the athletes' outstanding accomplishments during the Paris competitions. The honorees included Ahmed El Gendy, the gold medalist, who received a prize of EGP 6 million  (4 million from the Egyptian government represented by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, 1.2 million from the Egyptian Olympic Committee, and 1 million from Cred), while the player Sarah Samir, who won the silver medal, was awarded a financial prize worth EGP 4.1 million (3 million from the Egyptian government represented by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, 1.1 million from the Egyptian Olympic Committee, and EGP 800,000 from Cred). Meanwhile, the bronze medalist, Mohamed El-Said received a financial prize worth EGP 3.4 million (2 million from the Egyptian state represented by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, 1 million from the Egyptian Olympic Committee, and EGP 400,000 from Cred).


Dr. Ashraf Sobhy: The Egyptian State and its Political Leadership Provided All the Support to the Sport system to achieve the Best Results and Topped the Podium


Egypt's champions were praised by His Excellency Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, stating, "The achievements of our athletes in the Paris 2024 Olympics are not to be underestimated. Competing in the recent championship was not easy in the face of the strong competition and power of participants from various countries worldwide. I am grateful for this promising generation of youthful talent and wish them more championships and successes in the coming years."


Sobhy stressed that the Egyptian state and its political leadership place high value on sports and the care of Egyptian champions, providing them with all means of support to enable them to deliver their best performance, compete valiantly, and achieve championships in various global competitions. He emphasized how crucial it is that all efforts come together to support these champions, as demonstrated most recently by the partnership between the public and private sectors to provide the players with moral and financial support, which acted as a powerful incentive for them to reach their goals.

Eng. Ahmed Mansour, the CEO of Cred, expressed his utmost pleasure with Egypt's champions, confirming the significance of their accomplishments. The signed protocol between Cred and the ministry also includes supporting the National Talent and Olympic Champion Project, which aims to develop international athletes representing Egypt in global tournaments. This is a part of Cred's commitment to supporting young people and their ongoing encouragement to participate in a range of artistic, cultural, and athletic endeavors, honing their abilities by offering various forms of support within the framework of the company's social responsibility.
