Cairo, Egypt – November 27, 2025: Egypt’s wood industry took the spotlight today with the grand opening of the 10th Cairo International Wood and Woodworking Machinery Exhibition (Cairo WoodShow), the second stop in the show’s expansion after the outstanding success of its latest edition in Dubai. The event reinforces Egypt’s position as one of the region’s most influential hubs for wood manufacturing, design, and advanced industrial technologies across the Middle East and North Africa.
This year’s edition brings together over 800 local and international brands from 250 exhibiting companies, showcasing the latest innovations in wood manufacturing technologies, automated machinery, CNCsolutions, sustainable materials, and smart manufacturing systems. The strong presence reflects growing global confidence in the Egyptian market and its ability to lead the development of the region’s wood-based industries.
Eng. Tarek Habashy, Chairman of the Wood & Furniture Chamber at the Federation of Egyptian Industries, emphasized that Cairo WoodShow has become a central platform that elevates local industry quality and enhances the competitiveness of the Egyptian product regionally and internationally by enabling direct engagement between local manufacturers and major buyers and importers from 85 countries.
He added that the expanded participation of international institutions this year — led by the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers (EUMABOIS) — demonstrates Egypt’s advanced standing in the wood sector and its ability to attract new investments that strengthen industrial growth and boost export capabilities.
Ehab Drayess, Chairman of the Export Council for Furniture, stressed that Egyptian products featured in this edition demonstrate high levels of quality, precision, and innovation, positioning them as strong global competitors and supporting national plans to increase industrial exports.
Dawood Al Shezawi, President of Strategic Exhibitions & Conferences and organiser of the event, stated that the 10th edition represents a major milestone in the evolution of Cairo WoodShow. He noted that selecting Cairo to host this edition following its success in Dubai reflects the growing strength of the Egyptian market and its ability to attract top global brands.
Al Shezawi highlighted that the exhibition continues to serve as a leading platform for fostering international cooperation and facilitating knowledge and technology exchange among manufacturers, suppliers, and designers from across the world. He explained that this global gathering demonstrates a strong commitment to advancing the sector and pushing the industry toward broader horizons in innovation, smart manufacturing, and sustainability.
He added that the 2025 edition delivers a qualitative leap thanks to its expanded institutional partnerships, making it one of the strongest editions since the exhibition’s launch — not only in the scale of participation, but also in the quality of content, diversity of brands, and the strength of its specialized technical programs.
The 2025 edition also launches the Wood in Design Forum – Cairo Edition for the first time, featuring more than 70 speakers, 35 sessions, and 15 workshops, covering the latest trends in design, sustainable construction materials, and digital manufacturing. The initiative strengthens the integration between technology and design and opens new market opportunities for the national industry.
The exhibition runs until 30 November, with expected attendance reaching 20,000 visitors from 85 countries, reinforcing its role in supporting Egyptian companies, creating export opportunities, and attracting new investments to one of the fastest-growing industries in Egypt and the broader Middle East
