Shadi Abdullah, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait-based Urbnlanes, is recognized as a key driving force shaping the company’s distinctive footprint in both Egypt and Kuwait. His pivotal role spans multiple responsibilities—most prominently engineering, design, and development—where he leads the company’s technical and architectural vision across its real estate portfolio, from planning and design to final delivery.
A graduate of the American University with a degree in Architectural Engineering, Eng. Shadi built a strong foundation early, gaining first-hand exposure to the real estate development business through the group’s companies even before formally joining the profession. His field involvement enabled him to acquire multidisciplinary expertise from both technical and managerial teams—an advantage rare for engineers at his age, as he has amassed this extensive experience before turning 29.
Eng. Shadi brings substantial expertise in managing and developing large-scale real estate projects. He began his professional journey with First Group for General Trading and Contracting, where he supervised the design and implementation of prominent towers in Kuwait, such as Panasonic Tower and Levels Tower, gaining hands-on experience in executing major developments from concept to delivery.
Currently, he oversees the Al-Salmi Residential City project in Kuwait—an integrated development comprising more than 3,000 residential units. Alongside this massive undertaking, he also manages key strategic projects in both Egypt and Kuwait.
Through the joint efforts of Eng. Shadi and his brothers, Eng. Fadi Abdullah and Eng. Mina Abdullah, the group has executed successful expansion plans into Saudi Arabia, delivering two projects, with further aspirations to extend into Dubai, Greece, and other global markets.
This accumulation of technical and managerial experience is reflected today in Eng. Shadi’s leadership of the company’s engineering and architectural teams, where he ensures seamless integration of quality, innovation, and international standards. He also spearheads strategic development frameworks that address market needs while enhancing company growth within a highly competitive and rapidly evolving real estate sector.
