Cairo – April 20, 2026: In a major step to advance Egypt’s role as a regional AI hub, Orange Egypt has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Paragon | Adeer to launch an “AI Campus” at Sumou Boulevard, in partnership with Plug and Play, marking a pioneering initiative across the Middle East and Africa.
The MoU was signed at the Grand Egyptian Museum, in the presence of officials from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, along with industry leaders and partners.
The initiative supports Egypt’s Vision 2030 by creating an integrated digital ecosystem and strengthening the country’s position as a hub for artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
Spanning 500 acres, the AI Campus will serve as a regional innovation hub for startups and entrepreneurs, attracting investment and accelerating the growth of Egypt’s digital economy.
Under the agreement, Orange Egypt will lead the development of the campus’s smart digital infrastructure, deploying advanced technologies including 5G connectivity, Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, and intelligent communication systems, creating a fully connected environment designed to enable innovation and operational efficiency.
The partnership also brings together Paragon | Adeer’s expertise in smart urban development and Plug and Play’s global innovation network, connecting startups to international markets and accelerating their growth.
As part of the initiative, the partners will launch the “AI 100” program, a four-year strategic program aimed at supporting the creation of 100 AI startups in Egypt by 2030. The program will offer specialized training, technical workshops, investment readiness support, and direct access to global innovation networks.
