Khaled Solouma

Cairo –  10 August 2026 – Reinforcing the importance of enabling digital transformation across various economic sectors, Egyptian startup Venduo has successfully facilitated approximately EGP 40 million in transactions through its platform since its launch. During the first six months of 2026 alone, transactions reached nearly EGP 20 million through the first digital B2B marketplace dedicated to the fashion and textiles sector.

Commenting on these achievements, Khaled Solouma, Co-Founder and CEO of Venduo, stated that these transactions represent deals concluded between local and international brands on the platform and Egyptian manufacturers. He said: "Venduo aims to create a digital B2B marketplace that connects brand owners and designers with manufacturers, enabling them to identify the most suitable factory for producing apparel and fashion products based on specific criteria defined by the brand owner."

He added: "Since the platform's inception, we have successfully attracted 8,000 fashion brands and designers, in addition to more than 2,000 manufacturers providing contract manufacturing services through our platform meanwhile the company aims to expand its customer base to 100000 brands and manufactures." He explained that the manufacturers on the platform cover more than 30 different specializations, representing the full range of fashion manufacturing services required across various product categories.

Registering on the Venduo platform also contributes to Egypt's efforts to integrate informal economic activities into the formal economy, as it enables these manufacturers to become part of the country's official economic ecosystem.

Salouma continued: "Venduo also supports the export of Egyptian products. Over the past period, international brands have come to represent around 30% of the total brands on the platform collaborating with local manufacturers in Egypt, thereby strengthening Egypt's exports of textiles and fashion products to Arab markets across the region."

He further emphasized that the platform oversees all procedures related to ensuring that local manufacturers comply with the highest production standards at both the local and international levels, enabling them to achieve the highest possible product quality. He added: "Adhering to higher standards enables Egyptian manufacturers to increase their domestic production capacity, attract more brands, create additional employment opportunities, and directly contribute to improving the local economy. This is clearly reflected in the cooperation between manufacturers listed on the platform and several leading global brands, including Zara, Massimo Dutti, Adidas, Mango, Nike, Pull&Bear, Bershka, DeFacto, as well as many other international and local brands."

The Venduo platform enables local and international brands to access manufacturers' databases and specifications, communicate with manufacturers easily, and define their own production criteria free of charge. The platform operates on a fixed annual subscription fee paid by manufacturers, regardless of the number of orders they receive through the platform.

The platform represents a clear application of digital transformation tools in one of the fastest-growing sectors of the Egyptian economy. Egypt's fashion market is valued at approximately USD 1.56 billion and is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8% through 2031, according to Cognitive Market Research.
