CAIRO – 23 August 2026: Sinai Cement Company, a leading cement manufacturer in Egypt, announced the signing of a joint cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education. The protocol aims to support and develop the technical education system in North Sinai Governorate and prepare scientifically and practically trained human cadres to integrate into the cement industry and related sectors. This initiative is designed to enhance students' opportunities to secure specialized qualifications that enable them to land suitable employment upon graduation.

The protocol was signed at the Ministry of Education and Technical Education headquarters, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ayman Mohamed Bahaa-ElDin, Deputy Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Mr. Hady Samir Ayad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sinai Cement Company, in addition to several officials from both the Ministry and the company.

The protocol aims to sponsor El-Arish Advanced Technical School in Sinai, as well as the educational and training programs implemented therein. This initiative supports the enhancement of the educational process within the school and strengthens the practical and applied skills of the students. Additionally, the school will be renamed 'Sinai Cement Advanced School.' The collaboration also includes sponsoring two specialties at Baghdad Industrial School in Central Sinai, which involves updating curricula, workshops, and research projects to align with the latest industry standards. This will be achieved through the participation of the company's engineers in teaching specialized subjects and providing training for teachers.

Furthermore, the protocol provides students with comprehensive training and practical benefits at Sinai Cement’s facilities and sites. This includes the provision of transportation, as well as stipends and financial bonuses for students during their field training. The company will also provide uniforms and occupational health and safety equipment, while covering students with a workplace accident insurance policy. Upon graduation, students will receive an accredited experience certificate from the company in addition to their official educational diploma, with priority for employment granted to high-achievers, subject to the company's hiring requirements.

Commenting on this partnership, Prof. Dr. Ayman Mohamed Bahaa-ElDin, Deputy Minister of Education and Technical Education, stated: "Our collaboration with Sinai Cement Company comes as part of the Ministry's commitment to strengthening partnerships with the industrial sector, leveraging its expertise and resources to develop the technical education system. The Ministry places great importance on providing an educational and training environment that helps students acquire practical skills alongside theoretical knowledge, enabling them to build a better professional future." He added: "Supporting students across various governorates and regions, including Central Sinai, contributes to achieving the state’s objectives of providing education, training, and job opportunities for youth, and supports comprehensive development efforts in these regions.”

On his part, Mr. Hady Samir Ayad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sinai Cement Company, stated: "Signing this protocol with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education stems from the company's firm belief in the importance of its social role and its keenness to actively participate in supporting and developing technical education, as a main pillar for preparing cadres capable of meeting industry needs in the coming phase." He added: "The company aims to contribute to preparing technical cadres equipped with the necessary scientific and practical qualification to work in the cement industry fields, thereby delivering direct benefits to students while simultaneously supporting the industrial sector's demand for qualified technical workforce."

This collaboration reinforces Sinai Cement Company’s comprehensive strategy for corporate social responsibility and sustainable development, which prioritizes investment in human capital and youth empowerment. Through this initiative, the company aims to strengthen its partnership with the public sector to support national efforts in developing the communities of North and Central Sinai by enhancing the efficiency of technical education students and aligning their curricula with the practical requirements of the cement industry. This step reflects the company’s commitment to locally empowering youth and creating sustainable pathways that bridge the gap between qualification, training, and employment, aligning directly with the goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030 for inclusive education, human development, and sustainable economic growth.
