Cairo 16 September 2026: Emtelaak Group participated in the Financial Regulatory Authority’s Annual Regulatory Sandbox Conference as part of the “Promising Innovations” session, which explored a range of emerging experiences and perspectives in financial technology and non-banking financial services, as well as the role of innovation in developing more efficient and transparent solutions for users, Emtelaak Group also participated as a corporate sponsor of the event.
Emtelaak was represented at the session by Eng. Ahmed Abu Zeid, Co-Founder of Emtelaak Group, and Dr. Ghada Ali, Board Member of Emtelaak Investment Fund. They outlined the evolution of Emtelaak from a real estate co-investment model into a broader vision for building an integrated digital ecosystem designed to simplify the investor experience, facilitate access to information, and connect real estate and financial services through a more structured and transparent journey.
Commenting on the Group’s participation, Magdy El Yamani, Chairman of Emtelaak Investment Fund Company, said: “Emtelaak’s participation in the Annual Regulatory Sandbox Conference reflects our belief in the importance of ongoing dialogue among companies, regulators, and all market stakeholders in developing clearer and more efficient investment solutions. At Emtelaak, our vision extends beyond offering a single digital service. We are focused on building an integrated ecosystem that helps investors understand opportunities, access information, and monitor their investments more easily and systematically, while fully complying with regulatory frameworks and safeguarding users’ rights.”
The session discussed the role of technology in simplifying commercial and financial transactions electronically and expanding access to services. It also highlighted the importance of providing information and clearly disclosing the rights, obligations, and risks associated with investment products and services.
Emtelaak emphasized that building a responsible digital investment experience begins with understanding users’ needs and assessing the underlying asset or investment opportunity. This is followed by clearly explaining the relevant rights, obligations, and risks, and providing digital tools that support monitoring, communication, and relationship management among the various parties.
The Group also presented its future vision for developing an investment and financial “Super App” that brings together a range of services within a connected digital experience. These services would include investment education, access to real estate co-investment opportunities, asset and rights tracking, and supporting financial services, with the potential for future integration with specialized products and partners.
This vision aims to evolve Emtelaak from a platform offering specific services into an integrated digital ecosystem in which every product or service has a clear role, a defined structure, and a disclosed stage of readiness. This would help users understand opportunities, review information, monitor their investment positions, and benefit from supporting services in accordance with the approved legal and regulatory framework governing each product.
The discussion also addressed several emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, blockchain, and real estate asset tokenization, as well as their potential future use in data management, enhanced traceability, the organization of records relating to rights and ownership interests, and stronger integration among the various parties.
In this context, Dr. Ghada Ali, Board Member of Emtelaak Investment Fund, said: “Our participation in the ‘Promising Innovations’ session provided an important opportunity to discuss the future of FinTech and PropTech and how innovative ideas can develop through dialogue, collaboration, and carefully structured testing. We believe the success of any new investment solution depends on combining innovation with a clear business model and investor protection, while fully complying with all regulatory requirements and frameworks.”
Emtelaak confirmed that its exploration of these technologies forms part of a forward-looking development vision. Any future implementation would be subject to fulfilling the relevant legal and regulatory requirements and obtaining the necessary approvals from the competent authorities, depending on the nature of each product or service.
During the session, the Group also presented its concept for launching the “Emtelaak Tharwa” Fund as a framework for developing multiple real estate issuances, with each issuance linked to a specific asset or real estate category. These may include educational projects, commercial properties, hospitality assets, and hotels, with the possibility of exploring additional sectors in the future.
Under this concept, each issuance would have an independent framework defining the nature of the asset, legal structure, participants’ rights, risks, fees, monitoring mechanisms, and any potential returns based on the asset’s performance and the terms of the issuance. The objective is to provide greater clarity regarding the assets, information, and rights associated with each opportunity.
Emtelaak Group emphasized that innovation in financial and real estate services is not limited to adopting new technology or developing a digital application. Rather, it depends on building an integrated ecosystem that brings together technology, governance, user protection, and clearly defined roles and responsibilities among the platform, its partners, and regulatory authorities.
The Group also commended the importance of the Annual Regulatory Sandbox Conference and its role in strengthening dialogue among regulators, companies, and institutions operating in the financial technology sector. Such dialogue supports the development and testing of ideas and their gradual transformation into practical solutions and products within clear regulatory frameworks.
