Cairo, September 14, 2026: UAE’s E20 Investment has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with EDAFA Venture to explore cooperation and investment opportunities in agriculture, aquaculture, food security, and related technologies, while supporting startups developing innovative solutions for these sectors.
The MoU brings together E20 Investment’s expertise across various phases of the agribusiness value chain and EDAFA Venture’s experience in investing in and supporting promising early-stage startups. This combination will facilitate efforts to translate innovations and emerging technologies into practical, scalable solutions.
Under the MoU, the two companies will explore cooperation opportunities with startups developing technologies and business models aimed at addressing challenges in the agriculture and food sectors.
This will be supported by E20 Investment Group’s operational expertise, capabilities, infrastructure, and regional experience, alongside the investment and strategic support provided by EDAFA Venture.
E20 Investment said that potential areas of cooperation include agritech, water and irrigation, sustainable agriculture, precision farming, post-harvest solutions and cold-chain systems, livestock, poultry and dairy, aquaculture, and infrastructure related to food security.
The group added that areas of interest also extend to innovations involving seeds and agricultural inputs, supply-chain and distribution technologies, and integrated agricultural and industrial solutions.
E20 Investment has expertise across various stages of the agribusiness cycle, including farm design and construction, agricultural production, processing, and distribution. EDAFA Venture, meanwhile, focuses on investing in early-stage startups and supporting high-growth companies through financing and strategic assistance.

He noted that the two companies plan to open applications to startups on September 22 to explore the cooperation and investment opportunities arising from the MoU. The call will target companies developing innovative solutions and technologies in agritech, water and irrigation, sustainable agriculture, precision farming, post-harvest and cold-chain solutions, livestock, poultry and dairy, aquaculture, food security, seeds and agricultural inputs, supply chains and distribution, and integrated agricultural and industrial solutions.
He further pointed out that the MoU reflects both parties’ interest in supporting innovative technology-based solutions and promoting sustainable growth opportunities in the agriculture and food-security sectors across the region by linking innovation with operational expertise and investment opportunities.
He disclosed that the cooperation between the two sides will help identify promising startups and assess opportunities to support them, helping develop their solutions and turn them into viable projects capable of growing and scaling across regional markets.
