Cairo, 20 October 2026: Life Gate Developments has obtained building permit for its Sky Gate project in 6th of October city, advancing preparations for construction as part of its strategy to develop integrated investment destinations in West Cairo.
Khaled El Garhy, Chairman of Life Gate Developments, stated that obtaining the building permit represents a key milestone in the development of Sky Gate and reflects the company’s commitment to fulfilling all legal and regulatory requirements related to the project.
He said that the permit was obtained alongside the company’s payment of 80% of the project’s total land value, reflecting its commitment to its investments and development plans and strengthening customer and investor confidence in the project.
El Garhy added that the company aims to build customer confidence across all its projects by maintaining quality standards and ensuring delivery on schedule.
El Garhy noted that Sky Gate is the company’s first project in West Cairo. The development is based on the concept of a “Fully Operated Destination,” which aims to create an integrated investment destination through specialised management and operation of its various activities, rather than relying on the traditional shopping mall model.
For his part, Ahmed El Garhy, Vice Chairman of Life Gate Developments, said that the company’s investment strategy focuses on selecting promising locations, careful planning, and partnering with specialised management and operating companies to deliver projects with sustainable investment value.
He added that paying 80% of the land value reflects the company’s commitment to executing its projects.
The project spans a total area of 17,000 sqm and is strategically located directly opposite MSA University, on the second row of Al-Wahat Road in 6th of October City. Its proximity to established residential areas and major road networks gives the development a competitive advantage by allowing it to benefit from the surrounding population density and consistent daily traffic.
Sky Gate will comprise a range of properties, including retail and administrative units, an integrated medical centre, and branded hotel units, alongside open spaces, services and facilities designed to support the integration of its various components.
The project is supported by a network of strategic and operational partnerships, including El Garhy Steel as a strategic partner, WE as a technology partner, Asset Pillar for the management and operation of retail units, Healthy Care for the operation of the integrated medical centre, and Azur Hospitality for the operation and management of the branded hotel units.
Mohamed Fathy, Co-Founder and CEO of Life Gate Developments, said that partnering with specialised operators is a key pillar of the company’s strategy.
He added that operational planning is incorporated from the early phases of development to improve project efficiency and sustain investment value over the long term.
Fathy noted that through Sky Gate, Life Gate Developments aims to introduce a different model for commercial and service-oriented real estate development in West Cairo, combining a strategic location, a diverse mix of activities, operation efficiency, and commitment to development and construction schedules.
