The Minister of Housing follows the executive position of the urban assembly projects in West Carrefour in Alexandria

Dr. Assem Al-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, continued the executive position of the projects being implemented in the urban conurbation in the West "Carrefour" area in Alexandria, noting that the area is on an area of 419.74 acres, and aims to provide all types of housing and investment services, as well as the project aims to contribute to increasing development projects in Alexandria Governorate.

According to the Minister of Housing, the first axis of the development of the urban community in western Carrefour, Alexandria, is the implementation by the New Urban Communities Authority of 64 housing towers comprising 3068 "mecca" housing units covering 60 acres, within the first phase, for a total area of 120 acres, utilizing the potential and expertise of the New Urban Communities Authority in the design and implementation of urban communities.

The Minister of Housing added that a 57-acre villa project with 310 residential villas was also being implemented in the West Carrefour urban conurbation area, along with utility and road works, so that the area would be ready to receive citizens immediately after the housing unit was being implemented.

The minister said: The second focus is the development of the area through the political leadership's initiative to build the future together, through the signing of a cooperation protocol between the New Urban Community Authority, the Armed Forces Engineering Authority and a number of investors for the development of 250 acres of land in the West Carrefour urban community in Alexandria through the implementation of investment projects under the partnership system and quotas in kind.

The Minister of Housing pointed out that the allocation procedures for investors were being completed, in parallel with the contracting procedures through the New Urban Communities Authority, under the in-kind partnership system, under the supervision of the Communities Authority and the Armed Forces Engineering Authority.
