Carrefour Egypt partners with Egyptian Food Bank to provide donation meals this Ramadan
Carrefour employees celebrate their first mission with the Egyptian Food Bank’s meal packing drive
Carrefour, owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim in Egypt, announces the completion of its first mission in partnership with Egyptian Food Bank by facilitating the donation process for the community and extending its generosity initiatives
Following the theme of “Ramadan Kareem bel Kheir with Carrefour”, the brand has partnered with the Egyptian Food Bank, an NGO dedicated to fighting hunger across the country, where they delivered 2,100 Ramadan boxes to families in need across Egypt
Carrefour launched the initiative in partnership with the Egyptian Food Bank — on March 13th 2022, by bringing colleagues together to pack and prepare the Ramadan boxes for families
Carrefour has also extended its partnership with Egyptian Food Bank by introducing an additional activity for shoppers: “Kart El – Kher”, the generosity card, which customers can purchase across all Carrefour stores to help donate a hot meal to those in need during Iftar. To further ensure the safe delivery of the meals, the Food Bank has specialized a delivery program for Carrefour’s meal cards
